I can set a category for a job posting in the joblist, but when I go to the category page, it shows nothing: https://crayhill.capital/joblist-category/analysis/
Even though I do have a job in that category: https://crayhill.capital/dev-careers/
Actually, we don’t have any category page to show the joblist category. If you want to show then create a new file in your theme root directory named: taxonomy-tt-joblist-cat.php then open this link and past the code into your newly created file.
I am unable to upload files to the root directory. For some reason, plugins like File Manager aren’t supported and so I am not able to access root files.
Okay, I understand. In this case, you can add this file in your local PC then upload the theme to the server. Before upload, you have to activate another theme and delete the server Materialize theme first.
I’ve created a child theme for Materialize. Is it possible to do this with a child theme?
Just added the file into the child theme, and it works great. Thank you! If I wanted to show the name of the joblist category at the top of the page, how would I do that?
You may find an option under Appearance > Menus then find on the menu sidebar. If not exist in the sidebar then you have to enable from screen option. Screen option can be found in the top right corner, see screenshot http://prntscr.com/mgiy64. Then check the Job Category form the list. Now, you can add job category as a menu item.
